NEGATIVE IMPERATIVE

Imperative is verb that expresses command.
e.g. open the door!
Or to make more polite, you can put please before or after imperative.
e.g. open the door, please!
       Please open the door!
Meanwhile, negative imperative is sentence that asks someone not to do something.
e.g. don’t open the door, please!
Or, please don’t open the door!
There is general form for negative imperative:
Don’t + verb stem; introduced by please for polite requests.

In addition, we can put would you please after imperative.
e.g. would you please don’t open the door!
But we can make it more simple, the way is by avoiding some cases.
1.     Avoid using an infinitive instead of a verb word.
2.    Avoid using “don’t” after would you please.
So we get the most perfect sentence,
Would you please not open the door!

Now, we have some questions here. Let’s solve it together!
1.     Talk so loudly
Would you please not talk so loudly!
2.    Land anything to Bob
Would you please not land anything to Bob!
3.    Copy from the next person
Would you please not copy from the next person!
4.    Sleepy in my class
Would you please not be sleepy in my class!
5.    Touch the vase, the chair and the picture
Would you please not touch the vase, the chair and the picture!
